This article from Killing the Buddha is a pretty good one about fostering dialogue about religion with people, and the exchanges between Buddhism and Christianity in the US. Some of the points are fascinating. Food for thought.

I had a hard time understanding some of this. The rambling and non sequiturs made it a little weird to try and put together a coherent argument. I see where they're coming from, and largely agree (though I'm probably more generously heterodox), bu...

I'm with Richard on this one, though I may say something that immediately contradicts his meaning, lol. 'No reason' in this case isn't some nihilistic answer, but an invitation to a place beyond our constant patterns of self-obsession and self-abs...

Reviewing a book search on "Silence" among mainly protestant authors it is amazing how many seek to include an ascetic, mystical practice (that is not Inherently present) into their personal Christian walk if not their Christian Denomination. cf.:...

Can't believe I beat all of you Denver-ites in posting this:

What in the recent past seemed exotic and foreign is now almost routinely folded into "the fold."
